I kind of can't believe that we did this just a few days ago. It isn't even April yet! It has been hot for this time of year and Kinnie really wanted to get the pool out. Spring always surprises me. One day I will be looking at the brown grass and the bare trees just wondering when it will change and start blossoming. It always seems like it changes overnight. I walk outside one day and the pink and white blossoms fill the trees branches, the grass is green and long, and the birds are chirping outside our open bedroom window at dawn. Even though mother nature has so far decided to skip the cool spring days I am so happy to be outside enjoying the beautiful world. It makes me happy to be able to sit on the grass, pull some weeds, watch Kinnie and Andrew play at the playground, wear flip flops, lay under the shade of the tree on a Sunday afternoon with the family and eat popsicles. Spring always rejuvenates my spirits.

Uncle Ryan
My brother had a business trip in Lincoln so he figured why not fly into Omaha instead and visit us! He got in on a Tuesday evening and had dinner with us before he drove to Lincoln. On Friday he was done in Lincoln by 1230 and he hit a couple of NCAA games that were in downtown Omaha before he came to see us. We had so much fun with Uncle Ryan. We went out to eat, watched basketball, took him to the Winter Quarters visitors center and of course the pedestrian bridge. We even tried the zoo. Now I know to NEVER go to the zoo on a Saturday again. It was nuts trying to get through the crowds of people and after an hour we decided it was enough. Silly Ryan said it was a zoo in there. At least he just got in on our pass and didn't have to pay, and Landon just dropped us off and picked us up. Kinnie cried when it was time to say goodbye and Andrew had a lot of fun with his buddy Uncle Ryan. Thanks for visiting us!

Amazing Pizza Machine
During Spring Break we went with some friends to the Amazing Pizza Machine. For Kinnie, it was pretty amazing. Andrew had fun but didn't want to sit on anything that moved. Landon and I dueled a little on the basketball shooting game. He of course won both times. I am sure we will be heading back there at some point within the next few months.

Finished!
I completed my first, real sewing project yesterday. I can see how sewing can be addictive and honestly, it is probably a good thing that I don't have a sewing machine. It isn't that I don't want one, but I think if I had one then I would be spending money on fabric, materials, and supplies and trying all sorts of new things! I WANT one...
I asked my friend who is having a baby in about a month if she wanted to make a car seat canopy with me. So we teamed up and got to work. It took a little longer then expected with the kids around, our pregnancy brains, and other things going on, but we finished!
Here is my first, real, grown-up sewing success. I think my sewing class I took in 6th grade and sewing a pillow case in junior high really paid off, and I don't say that sarcastically, I really did remember quite a bit. Two more months (and 7 days) a baby will be included in this picture. I am so happy that February is over!
