Kinnie crawls through some boxes put together for a tunnel. We are bored, stuck in our little home, and trying to find new and fun things to do.

Andrew watches Elmo with his mouth open. He is loving Elmo.

Kinnie sings the song she is learning in Primary. She sings it ALL of the time. I am guessing she doesn't sing like this in Primary due to her shyness.

Little Helper

Andrew has become such a big helper these days. He always throws his fruit snack wrappers in the garbage or his diapers. If he has a snack in a plastic bowl he will go put it in the sink when he is done, actually we are still working on the sink part. Sometimes he puts it in the garbage. I didn't realize this until we were down to just a few plastic bowls instead of 6 or 7. After we read stories at night we go into the bathroom to brush teeth and so Kinnie can go potty. Every night Andrew gets Kinnie's seat, and puts it on the toilet. When she is done he takes the seat off, flushes the toilet, waves goodbye to the water, and closes the lid.

He loves to play with Kinnie's pots and pans. He likes to stir and stir, and put the lid on. and take it off and then feed Kinnie's baby doll. He refuses to sit in his booster chair at the kitchen table so now he sits on a big chair like the rest of us. He LOVES his big sister and pretty much does everything she does. Including putting on lip gloss, I guess he thought his nose was a good place for it.

Here is a picture of his first haircut. Can you tell? Probably not...but I do have a baggie of his little locks that I buzzed off of the back and sides. His hair is slowly but surely coming in. Last Sunday was his first week of nursery at our church, he did great. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he continues to enjoy it!

Today

This is what we have been doing this afternoon...

A big change from last year when Kinnie would only last 5 minutes playing in the snow. She LOVES it!

Home for Christmas

  • It was so nice being back in Salt Lake for Christmas! We loved being with family and friends.
  • Kinnie did awesome on the plane, Andrew did pretty good too. We were mostly worried about our cautious Kinnie, but she couldn't have done any better. The only hard thing of the day for her were the automatic flushing toilets at the airport. She is terrified!
  • I didn't take nearly enough pictures, I always do that.
  • We made sure to go to Hires and Cafe Rio.
  • I think I could have used at least one more week there.
  • Andrew got his first ear infection our last week there. It left us with a grumpy, clingy, and sick little boy. We didn't get to do a lot of the things we wanted to do but we were grateful it was taken care of before the plane ride back.
  • Kinnie loved her new baby doll from Santa. Andrew could have cared less about his presents. He enjoyed playing with Kinnie's play set of pots and pans and her dress-up shoes...not surprised.
